NEW
MODEL MARCH 2009!!!
FIKO
Group of Companies has developed it's original branded "WAY"
- "Where Are You?" GPS/GNSS
Tracking and AVL ("Automatic Vehicle Location")
System where we also offering our AVL/SMS/GPRS-EDGE DLL
functions libraries for the"WAY" GPS/GNSS Tracking
and in-car navigation system. FIKO are now able to control
all mobile phone functions such as GPRS-EDGE and SMS as well
as other standard phone functions trough our software libraries.
Our GPS tracking and AVL developments started September 2004.
Till now, we have developed our fully integrated Windows-based
tracking/server station named makeAVL Station. Our software
libraries together with our embedded microcontrollers and
electronics are indeed a fairly viable system that can be
developed into endles combination through our uFDEX network
and protocol system for data exchange between the WAY system
and sensors.. For the final developments, we post you here
with our past progresses and you may also view our video online.

- Project
start September 2004
- On
13th of September 2005, we archived to make our first
recording of more than 100,000 GPS points stored in the
first WAY prototype unit, covering just above 28 hours of
GPS tracking. This stored GPS NMEA data was downloaded direct
to PC and via GPRS.
- On
15th of September, we completed our modified electronics
for our embedded mobile phone AVL system by calling the
unit with just one ring and then hang on, the unit will
reply by sending last know Longitude/Latitude GPS position
to a preset mobile phone number(s) based on NMEA protocols.
- On
20th of September 2005 we reached another milestone
by receiving our first samples of our aluminium extrusion
case "aluTECH" shown on the image on this page.
- On
23rd of September 2005, the alarm and panic function
was fully developed and the system is now able to send two
alarm sets based on SIM card ID as well as alarm type together
with last known GPS NMEA Longitude and Latitude information
etc.
- On
3rd of October 2005, the aluminium cases were anodised
and are now produced in red colour (in Holland).
- By
10th of October 2005, we have completed all replay
of stored GPS positions shown on maps. We also implemented
our version of the Karlman Filter for more precision depicting
of the GPS tracks.
- On
18th of October, we completed all AT commands test
programming and we got now "full controll" over
the mobile phone and AVL technologies.
- Till
21st of November 2005, we completed all hardware
planning's, software component and functions for our iTX1200
AVL technologies.
- On
22nd November 2005,
we started to build OCX components based upon our already
developed DLL structure and function for AVL. The OCX-es
are now a part of our makeAVL and makeAVL Station software
package. By this we consider our iTX1200
AVL electronics project as complete.
- On
22nd September 2006, the iTX 1200 had it's first
embedded firmware software modifications which also included
upgrade to the new uFDEX 2.0 network protocol.
- On
25th October 2006, the aluTECH case got it's new
locking device modified and completed. The bottom fastening
bracket is now holding the top case via a special spring
system for easy removal without using any tools.
- During
Januar 2009, our second generation iTX1200 was ready with
added features and better integration to external interfaces,
sensors and switches. In many ways, the new iTX1200 i better
than the older version and also the embedded software is
now brand new.

Measuring
only 37mmx52mmx21mm, it's a really small integrated unit
that covers power supply, GPS, GSM, embedded AVL and uFDEX
system software and the battery. |

The
sample casing of the AVL system shown is in pure aluminium
but the final
product are made in red anodised aluminium.
