Installation
Note:
The
18-bit DOLLx8 data is split into 3 groups:
- 8-Bit
SRC (Switch Response Code)
- 2-Bit
SRC-ID (Switch Response Code Identity)
- 8-Bit
Data I/O
However if 16-bit of
data is needed two external DOLLx8 SMART interfaces units with
different SRC-ID can be used and you can receive or send data
as 2*8-bit split into LSB and MSB (Least
and Most Signified Bits)
The DOLLXP32 SMART Interface
board fits into one 8-bit ISA slot in your PC. The connector
used for the I/O bus is one standard 6P4 telephone connector
(US type) using 4-wire standard telephone cable. On the card
you will find two LED's indicating TX
- GREEN (Transmit - Encoder MODE) and RX
- RED (Receiver - Decoder MODE).
Each card includes Windows9x/NT/2000
software which is also free for download from our web site.
The maximum length between
the units and the computer is 300 meters. You can have maximum
1024 DOLLXP32 SMART units with unique SRC addresses in each
DOLLXP32 SMART Network. These units gives you a maximum of
8192 unique switch combinations.
